Analyst, Corporate Strategy

Based in Montreal’s downtown Corporate Office, you will report to the Director, Corporate Strategy. With recognized expertise, you support the development of the corporation’s strategy and work on strategic initiatives that span the company and its business segments.

In your role, you will be responsible for:
• Leading or supporting corporate-level strategic and business development initiatives;
• Supporting the strategic planning process;
• Conducting business research by performing quantitative and qualitative analysis;
• Translating business problems into precise and practical financial models;
• Leading or supporting strategic communications and external relations initiatives;
• Preparing and presenting oral and written presentations of findings and recommendations.

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate, you:

• Have an undergraduate degree with a strong concentration in an analytical discipline. A graduate degree in Finance or Business Administration would be a strong asset;
• Have more than four (4) years of experience, preferably in a strategy environment within a manufacturing firm or consultancy. Experience in the aerospace or passenger rail industry would be an asset;
• Have experience in a consulting firm (an asset);
• Have experience with projects of a strategic scope;
• Have experience working with the Senior Management;
• Have in-depth knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel applications;
• Have the ability to translate complex business problems into financial models;
• Have a relentless commitment to rigour;
• Are focused on results and performance;
• Demonstrate complete discretion when dealing with highly confidential matters;
• Enjoy working cross-functionally and communicating with all levels of the organization (from working level to senior management);
• Are able to multi-task within a highly demanding and continuously changing environment;
• Are a highly motivated person who sees this position as a great opportunity to develop skills and contribute to high-impact initiatives;
• Possess excellent language skills in both spoken and written English and French.
